in my new apartment...

it's been crazy and busy adjusting to my new apartment and town of Syracuse. tons and tons of unpacking, getting ready for school, and so many errands that i have no idea what i would have done without my car! all in all i'm well and it's been amazing to finally have my boy nearby. i finally get to see him everyday, make him dinner, and sleep together every night. things that made me realize that 3+ years long distance was worth waiting for. i love you, boo.

it's been so irritating to have to unpack then organize then clean and all over again the other day (with school stuff and errands all day long)! i stay rest assured that it'll all be organized and ready soon and that i'll beginning grad school in just a few short days, now...i'm secretly terrified.

here are the three of my favorite things around here...
ONE. gulgula! a great, Guyanese (which boy and i both are) dessert! it's like a small doughnut, very yummy and right from home :) we both brought an assortment of Guyanese/home treats (milo being among them) and have been feasting on it all. it's a little sad to have this here in the beginning but a bit nice, too.

TWO. insomnia. cookies. 'nuff said. my boy brought them home for me today (2 amazing choco chip cookies! nom!) they're so soft, moist, gooey, and perfect. find the nearest near you and get there STAT. actually...wait they deliver!!!! they're so worth it and was the perfect ending to my day. *thank you, boy.

THREE. these pieces of art are the only two that are decorating this place right now. the piece on the left is created by one of my best friends who is a design major and so, so artsy and creative. this is perfect for us as we've had the dream to be in NYC, together some day being working young women! with the text "GO GET IT," i feel and see her love and encouragement everyday. Thank you SO much, love! and beside that is my name written in Chinese :) I got this when I was in Shanghai last year and it was incredible, a trip of a lifetime. (p.s./hint: this is probably a give away of my identity :|)

...of course two of the three of those are food. but i love food...especially the sweet-not-so-healthy-fattening ones :/ but those are always the best, aren't they?! anyways, more updates on my new life soon! by the way, have you noticed my new 50mm f/1.8 II camera lens?! i love it!!!!

i'm drowning guys, i'm drowning

the title of this post is exactly how i'm feeling. i have had probably 12 hours of sleep this entire week and although i'm barely sleeping.... my bed has not been made at all this week. if anyone knows me...they would NOT believe (also, don't tell my mother). i'm stressed beyond belief and i don't know where or how to breathe. there's a list that keeps getting things added and added and addedddd. i've had SO much work for class, two presentations, ongoing projects, and of course-work. it's suddenly gotten to be more than anything i can handle and i can't wait for this week to be over. definitely planning on sleeping for the entire night tonight...until tomorrow when it all restarts with the deadline of my first grad school applications approaching (yikes!) i've been working on them since over the summer and a little each night since school has begun, but of course they're not done...

my boy has also been especially stressed with yet another exam coming and tons of work, himself. it's all catching up to the both of us i think and we're talking less and less...and seeing each other less frequently again. it's more than difficult to go through this without him and especially feeling like i just need a breath and he would be the first to hand it to me. luckily, next weekend i'll be going up for a visit AND we'll be going to a Wiz Khalifa concert (soexcitedyoudon'tbelieve). It's part of the 2050 Tour and I absolutely love Wiz. Really, i do. TGOD

so i'm counting the days until this final break until i get to just let it all out. and basically, i feel like the last 5 emojis on the last row. we all love our iphone emojis and i love the new ones even more :|

until next time,
lobSTRESS

MIA

hello friends! the first week of classes has been BEYOND hectic. it certainly hasn't felt like "senior year" and it definitely feels like it's been MUCH longer than a week at school. I mean, look at the timestamp of this post! nearly 4am...my mister is going to kick my butt if he sees i'm still up.

as the world knows i work tons of jobs and internships. all to stay busy, involved, and build myself. today i woke up bright and early, had a wonderful yoga session, then traveled three hours to NYC for a three hour meeting at work then traveled back here to Binghamton. yes, all in a day and I have an early meeting 'tomorrow' and too much reading for class i need to catch up on. hopefully starting tomorrow i'll be back on my feet and back in touch with all of the many things i need to do.

so for now, this is my little update on my being MIA but i will be back shortly!

xoxo Mrs.Dr.
